Duties and Responsibilities:
**To prepare and implement OJT programmes for staff as and when required
**To monitor the plan, follow up at the work place and evaluate
**To produce evaluation reports to relevant line manager and Training Manager along with recommendations
**To report staff and trainee performance on the job after each course or training.
**To produce monthly management report on OJT progress, identifying the weakness and proposing remedial strategy.
**To follow up on any in house course evaluation comments and produce monthly statistics in graphical format for management team
**To carry out any assigned tasks, jobs or special projects as delegated by the Training Manager

1.Summary:

• Diesel Technician will be responsible for repair, service and troubleshooting of Pumps, Diesel engines and supported/related applications.

2.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Repair/Services/Maintenance/Defect investigation of Detroit, Volvo, Cummins, Caterpillar Diesel Engines and other heavy pump systems.
• Maintain the Pump units/Diesel Engines while on hire on offsite job locations including dry docks, ships, offshore installations, etc.
• Attend and rectify on site breakdown incidents.
• On time requisition of materials to ensure the timely completion of jobs.
• Optimum utilization of spares and materials.
• In process inspections, wherever required, are carried out reports generated.
• Final inspections/trials etc are carried out as per the procedures and reports are generated according to company Quality Management System.
• Workshops and surroundings are maintained in presentable manner at all times.
• Ensure all transactions are carried out in compliance with the applicable standards, Company Quality (ISO) procedures and provide advice to the QHSE Department of any non-conformance issues.
• Follow necessary safety regulations, applicable work instructions, operating procedures, method statements, etc. as required in carrying out the jobs.  Use proper PPEs, spares, tools, equipments and accessories to the optimum utility.
