Position: Project Manager
Location: Pasadena,CA
Duration: 1 Year contract
Senior Project Manager / 7yrs exp
Responsibilities :
· Perform client relationship management and accountable for on-time and within budget delivery of solutions
· Project management activities include: planning and conducting project kickoff meetings; defining SD project scope; facilitating technical/operational requirements; developing detailed project plans; tracking/managing projects to successful completion; communicating status, issues and risks to project stakeholders; providing leadership to cross-functional project teams, and maintaining project documentation
. Negotiate with internal and external resource managers to provide qualified and trained resources on a timely basis, support clients with subject matter experts, and demonstrate project leadership
. Facilitate internal Design Reviews, Project Meetings, Go-Live Readiness Assessments
· Actively manage and coordinate a book of projects spanning multiple disciplines
. Participate in client meetings and presentations to manage expectations and to discuss client / stakeholder responsibilities, requirements, initiatives, and concepts
. Leverage internal tools to build detailed project cost estimates, identify critical assumptions and risks, and develop Statements of Work for new opportunities
. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Information Management processes, both internally and within the industry, and its applicability to the organization
. Effectively communicate project status and risk to SD organization
· Contribute to the definition, application, and execution of Service Delivery Processes
· Ideal candidates will have experience Healthcare and /or insurance industry and/or implementation of HealthCare of Insurance systems(s)
Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
· Five (5) or more years of experience in technical project management, program management, or professional services
· Five (5) or more years of recent experience in business process, information systems analysis, and senior technology consulting associated with the Information Management Health Pan and Care delivery domain area
· 2+ years of client management experience; demonstrated confidence and credibility in front of senior management and clients
· Must be able to handle a number of simultaneous projects, demonstrate a sense of ownership to drive projects to completion on schedule, and be successful in a collaborative environment
.· Demonstrated ability to deliver distributed, enterprise solutions· Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills; must be able to communicate and negotiate at all levels in the organization
· Key technology experience in Informatica, Ab Initio, Data warehouse, ETL
· Project Management certification a plus
